Precision, learned the slow way.
Richard Helmrich · Master Furniture Maker & DesignerHelmrich is rooted in a family legacy of craftsmanship with generations of furniture makers in Germany. Richard carries that tradition forward with a design-led approach, combining the rigour of his training as a master furniture maker with the vision of contemporary interior design.
From a young age he was immersed in the rhythms of the workshop. Tools, materials, and the quiet patience of the making process. After qualifying as a master furniture maker in Germany, he studied interior and furniture design in Portugal, and began exploring how thoughtful design, precision craftsmanship, and warm, human-centred service could come together in one seamless experience.
Our studio on the Portuguese coast is that vision in motion.

Behind our studio in Portugal, stands our family partner workshop in Hannover, Germany - equipped with the latest CNC machinery, edge-banding and finishing lines. Cabinetry is cut to a tenth of a millimetre - the difference between designing furniture and manufacturing it. We do both.
