THE BRIEF
A retail brand racing a hard deadline.
They needed a carpenter and project manager who could deliver on time, within eight weeks, the fit-out finished before the shop opened for peak season.
THE WORK
In collaboration with an interior designer, we built the retails shop centrepiece: a curved counter with a cashmere-grey worktop and walnut-decor base. Its front is a perforated metal grille, with integrated LEDS, a glowing honeycomb that shifts as you move around the room.
Under the worktop, a glass showcase runs the length of the counter, retail goods on display and lit from within. Behind it, a full cabinetry system handles storage and technical equipment. One curved, custom-built piece doing three jobs at once.
This column is part of the original building, centuries-old stone, left rough and untouched.
We built a round walnut-decor tabletop directly onto it, turning a fixed architectural element into usable retail space.
Old structure, new function.
Where the new counter meets the original stone: the curved, backlit grille scribed tight against a rough, centuries-old column, clean build against raw structure, fitted millimetre by millimetre.
